I bought my Mazda MX-5 NC 2003 model a few years ago and it’s been a work in progress ever since.
A one owner car with books, the silver green Classic model is a good looker and now, thanks to the efforts of MX-5 guru NitroDann, it has the get go to match the looks.
It’s been lowered, runs BC Racing ER coilovers and a Racing Beat front sway bar with aggressive steering geometry to match.
Braided lines, a Kaaz 1.5 way limited slip diff, EBC red pads and Kumho KU36s complete the handling picture.
Under the bonnet is a stock engine with a custom steam pipe manifold and Garrett GT2560 turbo installation, ID1000 injectors, coolant reroute, large Mishimoto radiator, large intercooler and other bolt on stuff to achieve about 200kW at the rears.
It’s a quick car that shocks plenty of people in seemingly more powerful cars
I have owned the NB for four years and it lives in the garage when not being driven hard or tracked.
I love this car because of the way it feels to drive with lightning fast steering, slick gears, powerful brakes, quick acceleration and is sounds unreal. Plus you can take the roof off and go cruising.
